The YOYO Stroller on the Plane

YOYO Babyzen 6+ stroller on a plane

So, can the YOYO Babyzen stroller 2 go on the plane ? And specifically as carry-on luggage ?

Yes, indeed. All strollers can go in the hold, but can the YOYO go with you in the plane’s cabin, thereby avoiding additional fees during your flight ?

The answer is obviously yes.

The YOYO stroller is often simply referred to as the “stroller that fits in the plane.”

Try it out around you; you’ll see.

To give you an idea, I’ve traveled with my kids and the YOYOs to Venice, Barcelona, and Rhodes in Greece. And honestly, thank you for choosing this stroller.

I’ll detail the questions you might have below in my feedback.

I can guarantee that all eyes will be on you when you board with the stroller. Especially when you enter the plane with the stroller still unfolded.

I hope I can help you make the right stroller choice.

Taking the Plane with My Babyzen Stroller, Will It Go in the Hold ?

Do you check your backpack in the hold ?

No.

Then it’s the same for the YOYO stroller; it will come with you in the cabin and will be comfortably stowed above you… ideal for ensuring your baby is settled just before takeoff.

However, if the plane isn’t fully booked, the airline might offer to store the stroller in the hold for free.

Then it’s up to you to decide. Personally, I’ve always taken the YOYO in the cabin.

Which airlines accept the YOYO stroller on the plane ?

How do you explain that it’s a YOYO to the staff ?

Indeed, how do you make the flight attendants understand during boarding that the YOYO Babyzen stroller is considered carry-on luggage?

I had the same question before my first flight with the stroller. I remind you that I didn’t know the YOYO was such a well-known stroller.

Once it’s your turn to board, the flight attendant will look at your stroller, then at you, and say this phrase that I hear every time:

“YOYO?”

You’ll respond: “YES YES.”

And there you go, the matter is settled, and your stroller will come with you as carry-on luggage.

What about the YOYO bassinet on the plane ?

We’ve seen that the 6+ pack and the 0+ pack can be taken on the plane as cabin baggage, but what about the YOYO bassinet ?

Yes, if you want to take a plane with your baby, who’s under 6 months old and comfortably installed in his bassinet, how do you go about it ?

Well, I flew when my first child was under 6 months old, and the bassinet goes with you on the plane.

You should know that airline staff are very attentive to babies.

They’ll find a place for your YOYO chassis as well as for the bassinet, and they won’t put the bassinet in the hold.

What else can you do between check-in and boarding ?

The YOYO bassinet will come with you on the plane, at no extra charge I can guarantee.

In the worst case, if an airline is fussy about this, you can always fold the YOYO bassinet and take it with you as cabin baggage.

But I don’t think that will happen.

Can we take the plane with the YOYO Babyzen stroller ?

Yes, you can take the plane with the YOYO Babyzen stroller due to its small size when folded, as well as its lightweight. Therefore, it is considered as carry-on luggage for most airlines.
