What’s more, you don’t want to invest in a second stroller for your second child, let alone a double stroller.

I’m going to list and show you some examples of accessories that will enable you to keep just one stroller, while allowing you to transport both your children at the same time.
1/ The sidecar for strollers
And yes, there is such a thing as a stroller sidecar.
An accessory that attaches to the side of your stroller’s chassis, allowing you to safely transport your eldest child.
Unlike the other products we’ll look at below, there’s not too much choice when it comes to sidecars for strollers.
Only one of these is available in France, and this is the product in question.
The big advantages:
- It’s universal, so it attaches easily to all strollers.
- It’s located on the side, allowing you to ride unhindered as with a board.
- It offers great comfort for your child, as he’s attached via a safety harness and can therefore rest throughout your ride.
2/ Additional seat for Stroller
An alternative to the sidecar, the alternative seat is for most models like a sidecar, but is usually placed behind the stroller rather than on its side.
The big advantages:
- It’s also universal, so it attaches easily to the back of any stroller.
- It offers great comfort for your child, because depending on the model, he or she is attached via a safety harness or has a support and can therefore rest throughout your ride.
Its weak point is that it’s installed in front of you, so it can get in the way when you’re out and about.
3/ The buggy board
The buggy board, also known as a skateboard, is an accessory that allows your eldest child to sit on the back of the stroller.
This accessory can be fitted to the rear of any stroller, clipping onto the frame.
It’s ideal for transporting two children at the same time in a single stroller.
There are several universal buggy board models, all of which work with all strollers.
The big advantages:
- It’s also universal, so it attaches easily to the back of any stroller.
- It is small in size and can either be removed from the bottom of the stroller, or folded up to the top, making it easy to use.
- Boards are generally not very expensive.
Its weak point is that it’s installed in front of you, so it can get in the way when you’re out and about.
